Grab sleep whenever possible. Let the kids match up socks or fold washcloths. Things are definitely different when she is gone, but we've found routines. It helps a ton that my parents live nearby and are available for any sort of assistance.<br /><br />When she is going to be gone less than a week, we go into a bit of a holding pattern where lots of stuff just doesn't get done. But when it's going to be longer, we switch into a sort of single-parent mode. It helps that my kids are 10 and 12. And, as I said, that my parents are nearby.<br /><br />None of that is likely to be very helpful to you -- sorry about that.
