Happy Duck

As you've all seen on my blog over the last few days, it's been rough here at CofaCMG. Many tears, many hurt feelings, and a quickly-deleted comment from a blog troll that pretty much brought me to my knees.

See, I know that opening myself up on the Internet with information on my life, my ideas, my emotions can also open me up to those who get off on making others miserable. The people who hate for hate's sake (and we've been over this before, so you know my stance on this) are out there and I'm ready for it.

I'm just not ready for the commenter who hits way below the belt using half-assed information in a misguided attempt to stand up for their peep and bring me down. That? Ain't cool.

But, what I realized through all of this, through all the miscommunication, through all the stress and tears, is that I have the sweetest children. I tried not to cry in front of them. Really, I did. I walked into another room or just held it in. But just once, Miss-Miss saw my tears. She turned around and came back a moment later with this:

She patted me on the back and said, "Here, Mama. Feel better." In one selfless moment, my little girl did make it all better, just by being herself.

I'll never sell that duck in a yard sale.

Holy cow, Heather. A troll? HERE? I am SO sorry! And I am glad Miss-Miss helped you to feel better. One of the great moments of their toddlerhood.

When it seems like the whole world has gone to hell and back, just one hug or "I love you, Mamma" from your kid can make it all okay! Glad your Miss-Miss was able to do that for her Rockin' Mom! When the trolls come, just delete them, and don't let them get you down. Remember, it's your blog and you're in control, and you don't have to take any crap from anyone!
I'm glad you're feeling better. :) Brenda

Awwww that is the cutest!

And as far as the "below the belt" kinda comments are concerned. Like I told you: SO easy to do, especially with a fake identity or anonymous. You are a great Mom, your little one proved that doing this. She wouldn't if you weren't...

((((HUGS))))

Momma - Dude, you make me laugh! "swamp rot" - awesome!

Gypsy - Thanks, sweetie! :-)

So glad you are back! I have been praying for you.
Sweetheart, you come from strong mountain stock, you can't let the trolls win! As Dr. Phil says don't give them rent free space in your head.
Even tho, we haven't met in person, you are my "net sister", I lurv ya, and any enemy of yours is an enemy of mine therefore they are in trouble!
Hang in there!!
Mountain chicks will prevail!!
