Thanks For the Hug, Friend

I had a dream and you were in it. We were cleaning up from some party we had hosted. I think we were getting ready to tackle the mess on a folding table when I turned to you and asked for a hug.

And you readily obliged.

It wasn't just a normal hug. It was a melt-into-the-other-person sort of hug. And it was wonderful.

I could feel your hands on my back as you patted my shoulder blades and rubbed your hands along my spine, and I could feel your chest against mine, the subtle rise and fall of your breathing. But we weren't crushed together. There was no discomfort.

Only a wonderful, all-encompassing... melding.

And it made me so happy and content. And as the hug ended, I slowly woke up and smiled.

Thank you.

One of the side effects of this no smoking medicine I'm taking is crazy dreams. And I've been having them. Some of them involve bloggers that I don't know in real life which makes it REAL crazy.

I used to be a lot more huggy than I am now. With friends, I mean. Now, all my hugs are for the girls and hubs. Go figure!
I wish I could have a nice dream like that...
