That's like reading another language (language that can't spell!)

Oh, my poor head.

I just can't bring my self to do it. I'm coming around, though. I'll drop vowels on a lot of words for time and space, but I have a hard time with abbrevs. like LOL and whatever else is out there. I'm snobby like that!

I make my cousins respond to me like normal English speaking people.

Huh?

It would take me more time than its worth to figure out all the abbreviations. Give me English or give me...never mind.

Toodles~

Wha??? I think this is one instance where I am just FINE being an old fart, thankyouverymuch. Husband is on Facebook (he insists it's good for networking, I think it makes him look like a perv) and my 18 yr old niece is one of his friends or whatever they call it. He is always saying "you DO NOT want to see the new profile pic Em has up." Um, no. No, I most assuredly do not, as I'm sure it centers around her ginormous cleavage.
Kids these days. Gah.

Texting is like work to me. I try to avoid that if I can.

LOLOL

I don't like texting. I can barely do it. It takes WAY too damned long!

My daughter can text out like 3 full on paragraphs in the time it takes me to text out "I luv U" ... Yea, I suck at texting! *nods*

I can read it alright though. Lots of years in IRC chat, has helped that, I guess!

But the typing it out on a phone. Nah. Not enough damned keys. I need a FULL ON keyboard! *giggles*

Texting is an art. That's for sure.

That made my eyes bleed.

I'm just getting the hang of texting. My daughter (16) just got a computer in her room and we actually had a convo while IMing. She said she liked that better because she couldn't see my disapproving face while she told me "sensitive" things.

I think that NOT being able to text is a good thing.

I hate that crapola.

Jenn - A complete other language.

Britt - Motrin?

Donna - I just feel like my HS English teacher is going to beat me if I text like J.

Avitable - You would!

Linda~ - I'm with you, but it's familial love, you know?

Molly's Mom - OK, husband on Facebook? Boy needs help! :)

That Chick Over There - I agree. I feel like I'm going cross-eyed when I text.

Melissa - I'm with you. I need a full keyboard!

Applehead - And art? If that's so, I'm definitely not an artist.

Gypsy - Sorry, hon. Missed you! :)

MetalMom - That? Is just funny/weird.

Morgetron - Thank GAWD! I think the same thing!

At least you CAN text! I can't. I haven't got the foggiest idea of how to do it. My 17-yr. old has 1,000 texts per month on her phone, and she complains that it's not enough. No wonder she ended up with a "C" in English!

I had grasped the much coveted messaging skills sometime back, but right in the middle of it all, I realised I didn't exactly realise the hilarity of the entire thing in the first place,
I guess "dats a sign f m grwng p"

B - I do worry about the state of the American-English language. Wait, I guess texting is the American-English language. Ish.

Narcoleptic - HA!
