Amazing Friendships

Guys, guys, guys. I have been the worst blogger in the history of blogging. As I type this, I have 103 unread posts in my Google Reader. 1.0.3. I haven't responded to comments in, oh, forever. And my posts have been sporadic. I'm hoping that once I return from Christmas with the Ty-man's family, that I will be refreshed, calmer, and back on track, ready for blogging and the reading of blogs once more. That's not my New Year's resolution. That's my personal hope and I'm gonna try my darnedest to make it happen. Because, goodness, I just love you all and I want to be here every day. I miss it!

OK. Molly's Mom over at Bitchy and Ranty is, like, the most awesomest blogger EVAH! A few months ago she got all crafty and created this most-excellent barrette/bow/ribbon holder for her daughter. I quickly informed her that if she ever got in a purple mood, to let me know and I would send her a check to make one for Miss-Miss. And what did I get in the mail on Monday? Not only an awesome barrette/bow/ribbon holder for Miss-Miss:

But also a jar of apple-cherry butter, chocolate-covered cherries and blueberries, and three books:
Haunted Travels of Michigan
Uncle John's Bathroom Reader Plunges Into Michigan
M is for Mitten: A Michigan Alphabet

Thank you so very, very, very much, sweetie. Miss-Miss loves her barrette holder and all three kids dipped into the chocolate-covered fruit (me, too!). They loved the Michigan alphabet book and I know I'm going to thoroughly enjoy the ghost and factoid books. I can't wait to enjoy all of it! You are amazing!

And, finally, I want to thank RiverPoet and Narcoleptic for my wonderful blog awards:

Narcoleptic, I have you in my feed reader, but I don't know why your feed has never updated. Damn you, Google!!!! From now on, I shall check your blog every day! I love your writing and especially how you describe India. And RiverPoet, I just love your writing. Love it, love it, love it. Thanks so much for being such a great friend and a blogging inspiration!

And thank you, all of you, for being here, each and every day, whether I'm at your blogs or not. Thank you for reading my stuff, putting up with my schtick, and for being my friends. I don't think you know it, but you help me stay sane, each and every day.

You are all my Christmas gifts.

You are very, very, very welcome! I was having fun picking things out to send (before all the recent shi-ite that's happened in my own life)...it was almost more fun than shopping for my own family :)

I'm so in the same "bad blogger" boat. There just aren't always enough hours in the day (or enough wine in my bottle!).

LOL - enjoy the holidays and we'll all catch up later.
