Schoolin'

They didn't cry.

They smiled, chattered, laughed, and constantly asked When are we leaving? School is no longer an unknown entity.

Their teacher isn't a stranger, she's a best friend.

And the school room is as familiar as their own home. They gleefully ran toward their first day and didn't look back.

I'm simultaneously proud and catatonic.

Hold me?

Great pictures of beautiful kids! Luke returns next week, and Sophie 2 weeks later. I hope our smiles are as bright as yours.

Healthy, happy, beautiful kids who look forward to school? What kind of Bizarro universe am I in? You're going to ruin people's conception of the South as a rural, decadent miasma.

I bet your drive to drop off said kids doesn't take over an hour, does it? Therefore, you win!

Love it! So much better than the screaming, leg-clinging and heartbreaking entrance some kids make.

SO cute!

We have another 2 weeks before school. Gah. I will be the one both crying and skipping away from the bus carrying both kids to school for a FULL DAY.

I'm only kinda freaking.

Consider yourself held. Tightly.

They are SO CUTE.

I missed the first day of school for the first time in 8 years. Jason drove them, they called me from the car, and he even remembered to take the first day of school pictures.

Still. I am disgruntled.

Lynda - Thanks, hon!

Annie - I hope so, too. :)

Grant - That's because we're in the parallel universe, Grant, where South is actually North and we won. MWHA-HA-HA-HA-HA!

Muskrat - Nope. 'Bout 10 minutes. I know. I suck.

Finn - Truly better.

Sybil Law - It is completely astounding! I cleaned the shit out of my kitchen!

MommyCosm - Yeah. Next year will be the first year all three are gone for a full day. I don't know what I'll do with myself for six hours five days a week!

Patois - Thanks, hon. :)

Stephanie - I would be disgruntled, too. But, I'm glad Jason took pictures. He's a good guy! :)
