I am the 40-ish granddaughter of Frank (see header), a fiddle-playing coal miner from West Virginia. I was born and raised in said state and have lived in Georgia since 1994. I have a wonderful husband, three beautiful kids, one cranky cat, and one anxiety-ridden dog.
Blogger Scribe template designed by Todd Dominey and tweaked by Coal Miner's Granddaughter with assistance from NATUI and Barefoot Writer. An undulation by quirk-doodlegirl at Colourlovers. You are so awesome to do this, Heather. I love you, girl.
I hope my girl knew I loved her, too. Our relationship was so strained these last few years as the mental illness kicked into high gear.
I can't seem to stop crying, but I can't seem to stop coming to my computer for some support and love, either. My family will be coming into town in the next few days, and until then, "Pete" and I are having bouts of falling completely apart. We picking out photos to show at her memorial service. We want the world to remember her as the beautiful, cherished young woman she was.
