Seriously.
And tonight? I'll be hunting down the paranormal.
I haven't blogged about this because it's something very personal to me and I would be hurt to have anyone snicker or roll their eyes at it. But, I thought I would finally let you peeps in on this part of my life because you've been accepting of everything else about me: geek, band geek, lover of Sean Connery, Kevin Smith, and Jensen Ackles, hater of covenants, Fab/Avitable/Britt groupie. See, every now and then I will have to pull an all-nighter at a purportedly haunted location and when I come home, I will be tired, reflective, and wondering.
Was that a voice I heard near my ear?
Was that someone brushing against my shoulder?
Was that a ghost or a play of shadows in the next room?
I'm doing this because of a life-long interest in the paranormal. I'm doing this to help answer my lingering questions about what happens to us when we die. I'm doing this to do this.
I won't tell you where I'm investigating. I can't. I won't tell you who I'm investigating with. I can't. You'll never see pictures or videos or hear audio clips of disembodied voices. Those, I can't post.
What I can share are my personal experiences, and share these moments with the dead, with you.
And if you don't hear from me for a couple days after an investigation, you'll know why.
It's 'cause I'm sleeping off the ghosts.

Though I don't believe in UFOs, little green men, or anal probes on spaceships, I do believe in ghosts. I've had experiences with them, and my grandmother saw them from time to time.
I hope your ghost-hunting was successful and interesting. For me, I would like to avoid them for the rest of my life. They scare the bejeezus out of me!

Does your group ever post any evidence they find on their website?
Momma - I believe in UFOs because of my Dad. He had such a fervent belief in them that I can't help but believe, too.
Avitable - Thanks, hon! No, we haven't posted anything because, right now, everything is confidential and being a relatively new group, we don't have much of an evidence database. As soon as we have something spectacular and the home/business owner gives us permission, we'll probably post something. And, I'll let you know! :-)

You're not going with THE Ghost Hunters, are you? ;) I would be soooo jealous! That show is totally my guilty pleasure...while I don't necessarily believe, I don't really disbelieve either. Does that make sense? Actually, I don't want to be one of those that can see them--I'd probably poop myself!

Molly's Mom - Nope. I'm not a ghost hunter with TAPS. But, we are affiliated with them. And poop myself? That would be something I wouldn't be able to live down because my fellow ghost hunters like a good joke and that would NEVER go away! :-)

While I'm slightly disappointed that you won't be sharing the EVPs or pictures or videos with us, I'm really, really looking forward to hearing about your experiences! There's a paranormal investigation group here in Memphis, but apparently they're not comfortable with my or my husbands religious beliefs (they actually said this).

That is the coolest thing EVER. I grew up in a for real haunted house. Had nightmares about the house until the day it burned down about 5 years ago.
