I am the 40-ish granddaughter of Frank (see header), a fiddle-playing coal miner from West Virginia. I was born and raised in said state and have lived in Georgia since 1994. I have a wonderful husband, three beautiful kids, one cranky cat, and one anxiety-ridden dog.

My hair was like that, too! I missed prom, but I went to the senior dance with my favorite gay friend. He looked good, and he could dance! I'll have to dig up that photo. We were tres chic!
I'm so glad you posted this happy shot of the two of you. I hope things are going better, my friend. Love you!

Sigh. Your hair is primo! One day that style will come back in fashion...
Hee hee heeeeeeeeeeeeeeee... that's adorable. And WOW that is a fluffy 'do. Rock on.
Very West Virginia-ish. In a 80's sort of way.
I've got the old lady looking for ours. We've used it electronically a lot, so it won't be a tough find.
I think you'll like it.
Oh,and your big hair is turning me on. LOL
Aawww, how sweet.
I'm waiting for big hair to come back, do you think it ever will?
I love that hair! And the fact that Ty still has some!
Hubba hubba!!

Oh, my. We could have passed as sisters. I'll dig mine out and show you to prove it.
The hair, sweet Jesus, the HAIR.
I'm so grateful the 80's is over.
You just need a side-ponytail and you would be HAWT.
80's hair RAWKS!!!
PARTAY!!!
Can't find you beneath the fluffy hair and poofy dress, and in PEACH no less!
My best friend in the late '80s had hair just like that! And every other WV high school girl. Except me. Mine would have been, but it was too short.
Good lord woman! How did we both look that good with big bangs and in peach? Everyone has a doppelgänger, and you're mine.
Yep, we're roughly of the same age. The big hair prom. At least your date isn't wearing a powder blue tux - as I inexplicably was.
BTW, Dr. O'C - who is a big lurker - pointed out that I hadn't blogrolled you. Sorted.
Dave2 - Oh Lord, I hope not.

Beth - In a peach dress my mom made, no less!
Miss Night Owl - I loved my hair. Now? I'm glad I don't have that do. Too high maintenance!
NATUI - We were just damned sexy.:)
A Free Man - Oh, I would have kicked his ass if he wore anything other than black! And? Thanks for the blogrolling!
