Two Weeks

I wondered how long it would take.

How long what took
, you ask.

How long it would take for my beautiful pre-school aged twins to become incubators of viral plague. A viral plague brought into their school by other beautiful pre-school aged children and passed on through the "swapping of snot" (a very old and cherished ceremony in which one child swipes their hand across their nose, picks up a toy, and passes it onto one of my children, thereby completing the virus life cycle).

A viral plague now dripping down the noses and upper lips of all three of my children.

A viral plague now residing in the back of my throat.

A viral plague hitting the CMG household in August.

I'm reeling a bit. Lemme say that again. We all have colds and it's only August.

By December I will have called in the CDC and their high-tech Haz-Mat suits.

I hope by tomorrow I will feel somewhat normal and can get back to my regularly scheduled blog post about Gene Simmons and my fear of KISS as a teenager.

No, really.

I feel for you, I really do.

My hubs and both girls had a cold last week and I felt like I had post traumatic stress dealing with it.

Last year was Sweet Pea's first year in preschool - first year out of the house at all in such a social manner - and she was sick from November through June with occasional 1, 2, and a couple times 3 week breaks. She caught *every* cold and *every* stomach virus, and by May/June she even had two cases of walking pneumonia before it was over for the summer.

In fact, I am taking her to the doctor tomorrow to make sure that this cough she has after that (truly) mild cold is not yet another case of walking pneumonia.

So yeah, I feel for you. Good wishes and health to all of you!

Shaping up to be a long winter at your's then, is it? We're still reeling from the various crap that Z's bringing home from day care but at least we're coming in to summer.

Oh boy that's not fun!
Feel better soon!

I do not envy you. I've always felt that summer colds are the worst. My dad is a non-hand-washer and he gets sick a lot. Thankfully I make up for it by being an OCD-hand-washer.

Hope you can all get rid of it soon before it recirculates.

Ah, the preschool plague! (The not so distant cousin of daycare disease.) We're well versed with the daycare disease, although I imagine the preschool plague is much more virilent!

Feel better soon!

Once a child goes to school, their innocence is lost their immune system is left at the door.

I feel for you. I woke up with a cold this morning. I was fine when I went to bed, but somehow now half of my head is congested and I'm sneezing and coughing.

That crap snot funny.

I always hated the stuff they caught at school. Thank God Babygirl is old enough to use hand sanitizer like a freak!

When Princess started pre-school, she would get the sniffles and I would get the plague.

She's starting to school tomorrow. 1st grade *sniff*. Here's to hoping that I make it longer than 2 weeks because I'm going to BlogWorld in Vegas for work. That would suck.

Hopefully, by December you will have already HAD everything and have killer immune systems to prove it!
