Who Am I?
- Coal Miner's Granddaughter
- I am the 40-ish granddaughter of Frank (see header), a fiddle-playing coal miner from West Virginia. I was born and raised in said state and have lived in Georgia since 1994. I have a wonderful husband, three beautiful kids, one cranky cat, and one anxiety-ridden dog.

Ah yes .. the great 'hamburger to hamburger bun' disparity. In this case it's hotdogs, but the effect is the same. It happens over here too and I have no idea what the thinking is!
Sheesh.
The solution is quite simple. Buy 3 packs of buns, and 4 packs of wieners. Then you will have 24 of each.
And if you have 24 hot dogs, your obviously having a party. So, when is it? I need put it on my schedule.
Well I always get the 8 buns and 10 wieners deal. Who doesn't love 2 extra wieners?

That used to annoy the heck outta me too. So I quit eating hot dogs thereby negating my need for hot dog buns. And I'm a happy camper.
(I don't have kids so ditchin' the dogs was easy to do.)
luckily in my house my daughter wont eat the dog, just the bun so she evens it out LOL
Ball Park beef franks are eight to a package. So it works perfectly for me.
I've never understood the whole dog to bun ratio. We really only buy hot dogs for our steamer when we're having parties, so we stick to Bucky's 24 rule too!
Yeah, normally there are 10 hot dogs (or at least in the Oscar Mayer packs). It's an evil conspiracy between the bread companies and the meat companies! Unite!
