Do You Want To Go On A Paranormal Investigation?

After the fun of HeatHer '10 and wanting a blogger get-together that is real and not virtual, and knowing all of you are interested in my ghost hunting career, I thought...

Hm. Why not combine the two?

I'm asking you, my readers (all 180 of you, according to FeedBurner) to please answer the following questions:

1) Would you be interested in participating in a paranormal investigation with my team, Everyday Paranormal Georgia, sometime in August/September, 2011?

2) Would you be interested in, the day after the investigation, going over the raw audio and video footage with my team (interspersed with food, drink, and many laughs) and helping to prepare the final report?

3) Do you want the full experience from a Friday night investigation, Saturday evidence review, Sunday report preparation/good-byes?

Now, I'm not guaranteeing that this will happen. My team has never put anything together like this and we could get part-way into setting this up and scream "HOLY CRAP! THE COST! THE LIABILITY! NOOOOOO!!!!!" We're currently looking at three venues: Gaither Plantation, Sloss Furnace, or Waverly Hills Sanatorium. All three locations will charge us for our investigation so everyone will have to pitch in (Waverly charges $1,000 for a night of investigating, minimum 10 people. Sloss Furnaces charges $300 for 20 people.) Whatever the cost of renting the location for the night, we would evenly divide between all attendees. Based on how many of you eventually commit to this investigation, I would attempt to secure group rates at a hotel near the investigation site. We would also set up a meeting room at the hotel for evidence review. We would share our EPGA equipment with those of you who attend and if any of you have equipment of your own, you'd be welcome to bring it with you.

So, you guys in or what? Start saving your pennies and investigating flights because I'm serious. I want a HeatHer '11/paranormal investigation and I want my blogging friends to be here in person to do it with me and my amazing team!

Yes. Yes. YES!

~$100 plus hotel would be one of the most economical travel-related activities I've ever participated in, and it definitely sounds like fun. The issue is, of course, finding time in my schedule. August... particularly late August... may be doable. September is difficult, but possibly possible.

In any event, PLEASE keep me in mind if you actually plan something like this. I'm always looking for new and interesting things to do!

You know, I'm kind of a wuss about things like that, but I would love to do something like you're proposing.

Of course, Waverly is right here in Louisville -- so I could play tour guide. ;)

I could do August/early September.

Hell to the yes. I've wanted to do something like that for a while, but the one I went to in Savannah had so many people that it was worthless, and I don't want to do it here in Orlando with nobody that I know.

Heather I would love go and I know my husband would be right there too, but I can't commit us that far in advance with all of the health issues of my mom and the new baby.

You can count me in if it's not too strenuous and you don't mind that I can't see or hear too well and that I don't have any equipment or even much of an idea of what you're talking about. Seriously, I'm not making excuses. If those aren't issues, then I'd love to participate.

Hell yes. I have never experienced any kind of ghostly encounter, and on the off chance of actually doing so - absolutely!!

Count me in.

I am there with bells on! Unless the bells will scare the ghosts, or whatever. Crap - do you call them ghosts? Aw, crap - I already failed, didn't I?! Waaaaah!

(Yes. I am coming. I am inviting myself right now. Do it!)

I'd love to go, but unfortunately I couldn't commit with the economy the way it is. HOWEVER, if you ever do Eastern State Penitentiary or the mass graves of Irish railroad workers ( http://www.startribune.com/nation/100748929.html) let me know. It's local to me!!

For everyone who is interested, I've got you on an email list. As we narrow down the where, I'll begin, with your assistance, to narrow down a when. Then? You'll hopefully have plenty of time to save money and make travel/vacation days off plans. CAN'T WAIT!

Oooh, I would love to, but I have a goal of going to Greece in 2011. If I can swing both, I certainly will try to!

Oh hell yes I'd be interested! Put me on the email list so I can start planning!

Hey girl, after much angst, and discussion with hubs, count us in.
Hopefully everyone will be healthy! ;-)

I'm another non-blogger (except my own) friend that wants to come. Maybe Teri and I will just go to the place and drink with you? And rate the movie on a 1-10 entertainment scale? Kidding of course...
